Habitat for Humanity Waukesha County

Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County is a Church based 501 (c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization seeking to alleviate the shortage of quality affordable housing in Waukesha County. For many families in Waukesha County, having a place to call home is impossible. Skyrocketing rent and home prices make this dream too far out of reach.

Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money, land, and materials, Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County builds or rehabilitates simple, decent houses. Families are selected based on their level of need, willingness to work, acceptance of responsibilities and ability to repay mortgage. Adult family members must each complete at least 250 hours of sweat equity and attend 20 hours of homeowner education classes. Qualified families purchase Habitat homes with zero-interest mortgage, enabling them to own their home.
