Wayside Schools

***Through a generous gift from the KLE Foundation, all donations will be matched 4:1. That means a gift of $100 would generate an additional $400 for Wayside Schools or a gift of $1,000 would generate and additional $4,000. Gifts at all levels are greatly appreciated***

 

At Wayside Schools, we believe all children are capable of achieving greatness if challenged to do so. It is because of this belief, that Wayside Schools has made a commitment to provide South Austin families with an option for a high-quality public education.

Wayside Schools is a premier, tuition-free, college preparatory, public charter school district serving the communities of South and Southeast Austin. Together we are preparing College Ready, Community Engaged, Global Citizens.

Wayside Schools is now serving more than 1,800 students across four campuses: Wayside: Altamira Academy, Wayside: Eden Park Academy, Wayside: REAL Learning Academy, and Wayside: Sci-Tech Preparatory. The number of families joining our schools continues to rise each day.

It is our responsibility to ensure our students are provided EVERY opportunity possible to realize their unique and individual potential.

Although we receive State and Federal funds, as a charter school, Wayside Schools receives approximately $1,500 less per student than a traditional ISD and we do not recieve any facility funding. In order to offer our students the tools and resources that many of their counterparts receive in tradational public schools, we MUST fundraise to close the financial gap.

Please consider making a meaningful gift to you to Wayside Schools. One-hundred percent of the funds raised will stay at Wayside Schools. Your gift could help purchase technology, classroom furniture, other supplies and materials, or simply close the gap to help fund an individual student seat.
