We Reign Inc

we REIGN Inc. (Rooting, Empowering, Inspiring a Girls' Nation) was established as a non-profit organization in 2016 after Tawanna Jones-Morrison organized a gathering of more than seventy people to create awareness about the issues Black girls face in the city of Philadelphia and beyond. REIGN as an organization allows the discussion to continue. Since 2016 we have served more than 400 girls through our partnerships and community-based work. 

Our values drive our organizational culture, decision-making, and fiscal decisions. They are also the foundation of the work we do with and on behalf of Black girls, their families, and communities.

Our mission is to create safe, brave spaces where Black girls are visible so that their strengths, needs, voices, and stories are centered as they define themselves for themselves, practice living unapologetically and develop the skills needed to become advocates, activists, organizers, and change agents in their own lives and communities. Our intergenerational programming focuses on social and emotional, academic, non-cognitive, and career development.
