We See You San Diego

Homelessness and drug addiction are real issues in our community. Think about a time when you've been in San Diego and you've passed a person holding a sign, or saw a person sleeping on the sidewalk surrounded by a mess of their belongings, or a time when you've been walking and had to make the decision whether or not to pass a row of tents or walk a different way to avoid them. It's heartbreaking, frustrating, and it may even make you angry. It shouldn't be this way, yet it is. When you hear the statistic that homelessness has increased by 22% in San Diego County in the last year, maybe you're stirred. If you're stirred to the point of taking action about the problem but you haven't been sure what you as an individual (or family) can do to be part of the solution to the homeless crisis and drug addiction in our city, we invite you to learn more about We See You San Diego. 

Every Tuesday We See You San Diego hosts a really big dinner party for 100-150 guests. We serve individuals and families who are homeless, those struggling financially, people who are battling addiction, individuals who are hungry, hurting and alone. The hope is that every week when our guests attend, they know that they are cared for and they are valued. We want each guest to know that they are worthy of a better life. So the theme is the same every single week; LAVISH LOVE. We have a live band, a gourmet coffee bar, dessert carts rolling around, personal shoppers, a hygiene bar and a home cooked dinner. We celebrate birthdays and we even host raffle prizes. Our goal is to cultivate a peaceful, safe, loving environment where our neighbors experiencing homelessness are treated as our honored guests. Through serving meals and gathering around the table, we treat guests with dignity, respect and loving kindness, while offering hope. In addition, every week we offer people who live on the streets a way off of the streets. We sponsor people to leave addiction and homelessness behind, paying for them to enter recovery programs here in San Diego. We connect people who are in need to specific resources to help them right where they are. We have been honored to see before our eyes beautiful stories of transformation and redemption.
