Who We Are           
We Don’t Waste was founded in September 2009 by Arlan Preblud, a Colorado native with 30-years’ experience in law, business and support of non-profits.  We source food, clothing, bedding and other items to supplement the needs of those individuals, children and families who rely on community-based non-profit agencies.

Our donor partners include Denver’s top caterers, every major sports venue, restaurants, grocers and other major providers.  They provide food and surplus goods at no cost, and their participation continues to grow. 

In 2010, we collected and distributed over 1,200,000 servings for Denver’s underserved populations, with a donated value of over $700,000.

Our Mission

We Don't Waste believes no one should go hungry.  There is good food available.  We collect surplus food from venues, caterers, restaurants, and other food purveyors and distribute the food to Denver’s underserved populations.

Why We Don’t Waste

• Denver’s struggling families and individuals are served high quality, nutritious food.
• Meals and food unused by caterers, venues, restaurants, supermarkets and food suppliers do not go to waste.
• The food contributed helps reduce the food costs of some of Denver’s community-based non-profit agencies to relieve budgetary shortfalls experienced by these organizations.  For example, Father Woody’s Haven of Hope estimates these donations have reduced its food costs by 15 percent.
• Personal hygiene items that provide needed basics to the underserved are distributed rather than being discarded.
