Wells Family Resource Center

As a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that has been serving the families and individuals of the rural community of Wells since 1998, we are proud to offer programs that emphasize family involvement for future success.

Early Childhood Education: Providing multiple classrooms for children ages 2-6. Our literacy based curriculum promotes the physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual growth and language development of the child while following the Nevada State Standards. Positive early learning experiences have a direct impact on a child's ability to succeed in school and beyond. The focus of our classroom is to ensure that every child in our community has equal access to an affordable, high quality preschool that prepares them academically and socially for kindergarten.

Family & Community Services: Encouraging family success and increasing community skills through FREE evidence-based classes for parents with toddlers, tweens and teens. We provide emergency services, application and referral assistance for basic needs, and case management for referred families that focus on facilitating stabilization with the family.

Last year we were able to make the following impact in our community:

96% of children attending demonstrated school readiness in terms of literacy skills.

94% of children attending deomonstrated school readiness in terms of math skills.

97% of parents who attended workshops reported an increase of parenting knowledge.

96% of clients achieve three case plan goals within 120 day.

As a non-profit agency, the Wells Family Resoruce Center relies upon community support in order to offer programs and services on sliding scale fee or no charge to               at-risk children and low-income families.
