Wellston Loop Community Development Corporation

The Wellston Loop Community Development Corporation (WLCDC), which serves the Wells-Goodfellow and Hamilton Heights neighborhoods was founded in 2001 after residents and local businesses recognized the need to revitalize a community long neglected and exploited by corporate and government interests. 

We are dedicated to healing and transforming the West St. Louis community through engagement, resource sharing, and harm reduction. Using trauma-informed advocacy, we address systemic challenges with compassion and culturally responsive solutions. Our work is rooted in collaboration, ensuring sustainable change is driven by the community’s needs while prioritizing the empowerment and leadership of its residents.
