Wesley House Community Services, Inc. is a local, nonprofit organization committed to serving its community in a spirit of Christian love. Our Mission is to help people help themselves. Through a life-stage continuum of programs and services, including early childhood education, youth development and intervention programs, and adult workforce training, Wesley House empowers families to achieve stability and long-term success. 

Our History
Founded in 1903 as the Louisville Settlement Home in the Butchertown neighborhood, Wesley House was established by the Women’s Missionary Society of the Louisville Methodist Church to support children, women, and families in a spirit of Christian love. While we operate today as an independent nonprofit, that original mission of service remains our heartbeat. Today, Wesley House empowers families along the Preston Corridor and broader Louisville through education, youth development, and workforce programs designed to build stability, opportunity, and long-term success.

Our Programs & Services
Wesley House offers a life-stage continuum of programs designed to empower individuals and families along the Preston Corridor and across the broader Louisville community.

Early Childhood Education: In partnership with Greater Louisville Head Start, our WesKids Child Development Center provides high-quality early childhood education and care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We focus on school readiness and holistic development to give our youngest learners a strong foundation.

Youth Development: Our Young Brilliant Achievers (YBA) out-of-school time program offers a safe, engaging environment for academic enrichment, recreation, and character development. We provide youth with the support they need to excel academically and socially outside the traditional classroom.

Economic Empowerment: The Workforce Pathways program is dedicated to adult economic empowerment. By providing specialized training, career resources, ESL for work classes for English learners, and stability support, we help adults in our community navigate the journey to sustainable employment and long-term financial success.
