The Western States Trail Museum, located in the heart of Auburn, California at 1103 High Street, is being built to preserve, educate, document and promote the legacy and history of the trail.

The Museum will serve as a testament to the trail's significance across Native American, Gold Rush, and modern-day eras. The museum will showcase pioneers, miners, and immigrants who helped shape the American West. Visitors will dive into the history of this iconic trail, from its origins as a lifeline for indigenous communities to its contemporary allure as a stage for renowned sporting events like the Tevis Cup Ride and Western States Endurance Run.

Join us for a preview of our newly evolving space on June 29, 10am - 2pm on the Placer County Museum's Heritage Trail event!! We are located in Auburn at 1103 High Street, Suite 300.
