We believe all children deserve high quality early education. The achievement gap begins early and widens in the preschool years.
The achievement gap is typically thought to apply to the K-12 years. Research indicates that gap is evident well before the first day of kindergarten. Children that have adequate high quality learning and social experiences are less likely to fall behind their peers as they grow and develop.
As a nationally accredited early childhood education program (National Association for the Education of Young Children, NAEYC) our goal is to provide as many children as possible with high quality preschool experiences.
NAEYC accredited programs invest in early childhood education because they believe in the benefits to children and families. Early childhood experiences—from birth to age 8—have an enormous impact on children’s lifelong learning and positively contribute to their health and development. Early childhood education programs with the mark of quality benefit children with greater readiness for and success in school. Westminster Preschool has been nationally accredited since 2004.
