Westmoreland County Federated Library System

Westmoreland County Libraries (WCL) is an alliance of 26 public libraries in Westmoreland County, and is one of 29 District Centers under the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, PA Department of Education. It is dedicated to achieving excellence in library and information services for all County residents through the coordination of resources and services, the sharing of information expertise, and the promotion of library staff development for the mutual benefit of all member libraries.

Westmoreland County Libraries is dedicated to advancing the mission of public libraries across the county by ensuring they continue to serve as vital, enriching resources for their communities. Each library offers a wide range of services, including public computers, internet access, safe meeting spaces, engaging programs, and more.
Patrons have access to a diverse collection of materials-from books, eBooks, audiobooks, and eAudiobooks to movies and online databases-designed to support lifelong learning and entertainment. Thanks to a shared database and a coordinated delivery system, materials can be borrowed from any library in the network and conveniently accessed from a patron's library of choice-enhancing accessibility and collaboration across the county.
Beyond traditional services, Westmoreland County Libraries play a key role in economic development by offering resources and support for job seekers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. They also foster community partnerships and provide introductions to local organizations.
The libraries promote civic engagement by creating opportunities for individuals to connect, learn new skills, and explore their passions.
