To spur positive ACTION for trees & forests that will enhance our community’s health, biodiversity, and resilience in this era of rapid climate change.

Our Three-Pronged Mission To Accomplish The Above
Within Whatcom County, we…

• PLANT the right native tree seedlings in the right places, especially in typically ignored or under-funded public or semi-public lands that other agencies or non-profits are not addressing.

• PROTECT mature or significant urban trees and our increasingly rare but essential second-growth and ‘legacy’ forests. Protecting existing mature trees is essential for carbon capture and biodiversity support NOW, unlike planting new tree seedlings which will require 10-15 years before they bring additional benefits.

• CONNECT people together via informative events and hands-on action to build greater understanding and awareness of tree/forest issues as well as to build hope and empowerment in this challenging era.

We've been warmly embraced by the community. We already have 500+ local volunteers on our work party on-call list, over one dozen admin volunteers, and we hold work parties to accomplish our mission throughout the year. 

Your donation to us will be matched by a generous supporter, DOUBLING your giving power to support our trees & forests. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit except for a few part-time staff.
