Our Mission

Whidbey Island Arts Council (WIAC) fosters a community of culture through its foundational support and advocacy of artists and arts organizations on Whidbey Island, WA.

How Your Gift Will Apply

FREE kids' art classes, which serve local families and employ local art instructors. $200 pays a workshop teacher for the day and $1,000 underwrites a children's workshop entirely.

Artist grants and scholarships. Artist relief grants were extended to island creatives impacted by the pandemic lockdown, and more recently to working artists who lost their studios to fire and winter storms. $200 provides a merit scholarship for one exceptional student or a hardship relief grant for a professional artist in-need.

Fiscal and administrative support to programs sponsored under the WIAC umbrella, including emerging visual and performing arts groups as they expand and grow. $55 provides one month of accounting services for one of WIAC's sponsored programs.

WIAC operating expenses$500 allows WIAC to research and write one grant that will support our mission.

Thank you for supporting the Whidbey Island creative community!
