Whine & Cheese Inc

Founded in February 2011, Whine & Cheese, Inc. was granted its 501(c)3 nonprofit status in 2014. We are an organization whose mission is to create an environment that inspires the development, support, and healing of Black women. 

Headquartered in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Whine & Cheese offers a virtual and in-person membership community for Black women that hosts multiple meetups and events across the nation. Through our community-centric healing model, Whine & Cheese envisions a world where Black women can thrive because they embrace their best selves. 

As a dedicated practitioner of radical self-care, authenticity, and intentionality, Founder Natalie Dean has ensured that Whine & Cheese remains focused on the holistic development of Black women - helping them redefine the strong Black woman trope and reimagine success on their own terms.

Created by and for Black women, Whine & Cheese operates by the following core values: 

• Authenticity: We are self-aware by being true to ourselves and true to others. 

• Vulnerability: We are willing to risk emotional exposure to be fully seen. 

• Commitment to Community: We are willing to intentionally engage with and contribute to those with shared experiences - creating a sense of connection, safety, and belonging.

• Resiliency: We provide services and support that increase the capacity of Black women to successfully recover from difficult moments in life.
