White Deer-Skellytown Lighthouse Food Pantry

A nonprofit organization

For more than twenty years, the White Deer-Skellytown Lighthouse Food Pantry has been a steady light for our neighbors in need.  What began in 2004 as a small effort to help struggling families has grown into a lifeline for the communities of White Deer and Skellytown.  In 2006, we became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, but our heart has always remained the same - neighbors helping neighbors.

Each month, we serve our 95 client families, each with their own story.  Some are elderly and living alone, others are parents doing everything they can to keep food on the table for their children.  Every sack, every box we hand out carries more than food - it carries hope, kindness, and the reminder that no one has to walk through hard times alone.

This year has been especially difficult. The High Plains Food Bank, which we depend on for much of our food supply, has struggled to meet the needs in our area.  Meanwhile, food prices have soared, and the cost of meat has nearly doubled.

The White Deer-Skellytown Lighthouse Food Pantry is more than a building or a program.  It's a community of hearts that care, hands that serve, and faith that believes we can overcome anything when we stand together.

As food costs rise and shelves grow thin, we need your help to keep our light shining.  Together, we can make sure every family in White Deer and Skellytown knows that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten.
