Whitwell Schools Foundation

Since 1925, Whitwell High School has been a life-changing experience for its students. The school personnel from all walks of life- faculty, alumni, and parents- have committed themselves to guiding and fostering Whitwell students to grow in knowledge, self-discipline, and self-confidence as a result of academic excellence and whole person development. In our minds, there is no greater responsibility. But, preparing students for success is one we embrace with all our hearts.

The reality of the matter is that supporting our mission of preparing students for success in the Whitwell schools has grown tougher. First, funding from our government does not cover the full cost of the "whole person" education of our students. The Foundation will help close the gap. Second, athletics are appropriately now available to more students and very important. Finally, music and the arts have been proven to enhance the learning of students. 

The hard truth is that we need your strong support.

Through the hard work of the chairman and the alumni on this board, Whitwell High School was able to order more technology as well as have an art teacher in 2016.

This board also helped Whitwell Middle School with a grand piano refurbishment (the one bought by Mrs. Condra.) Whitwell Middle School is now 1:1, meaning all students have a Chromebook electronic device for use during the school day! This is the first in our county.

Whitwell Elementary School has received funding for the fourth-grade class to buy Chromebooks as well. In addition to the aforementioned, all schools have received money to reward teachers and students. 

The mission now if to fund Whitwell High School with Chromebooks for the tenth-grade class. Alumni and student parents should give, but all are welcome to help our schools. There is no loyalty other than to Whitwell Schools. Please be a part of this effort. All money is tax-deductible. Your donation will be missed.
