Widows First Inc

Our hearts break when we think of how many widows are in our community today who cannot afford the regular required maintenance work on their homes. We all know how costly this is and without the help of family or friends, as well as the crippling effect of limited income, it is almost an impossible task. This is why Widows First began but there is a biblical principle at work in Widows First as well.

(Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James1:27).

Widows First is designed to assist widows' needs. Widows First performs general maintenance and home repairs that come from normal wear and tear or storm damage. 

Our primary focus is to help our patrons with home repairs by providing materials and performing the work for them.  We may provide advice on structural repairs and guide them to other providers if necessary. 

Sharing God’s message with our new Widows First friends is a responsibility to which each of us as Christians need to adhere.

(. . . and ye shall be witness unto me and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8)

When we reach out to help others we are showing them God’s pure and unconditional love.  This is accomplished while we are visiting and talking with our patrons. Widows First feels this is the ultimate way to show God’s love.
