When you give to the Wildlife Leadership Academy, you invest in the next generation of conservation leaders.

The Academy begins with youth spending a week exploring their passions learning how to protect our wildlife legacy for years to come. Students receive hands-on training in nature, interact directly with wildlife professionals, learn the newest research and technology in the field, and discover the beauty of the outrdoors and develop key leadership skills.  Each field school focuses on a single species - in 2014 those species were white-tailed deer (Pennsylvania Bucktails), brook trout (Pennsylvania Brookies), and Ruffed grouse (Pennsylvania Drummers).

By the end of the five days students are inspired and empowered to be conservation ambassadors in their home community through education, service work, media engagement and more!

Our youth have taken this program to heart - Academy youth have completed 932 projects in conservation education, community service and media communication and given over 4,000 hours toward these efforts.  They have reached 20,000+ citizens in their communities!

In one student's words..at the Wildlife Leadership Academy, "We learned how to start to make changes to our communities and our futures. "

Invest in the next generation of conservation leaders today. We couldn't do this without your support!

The Wildlife Leadership Academy is a cooperative initiative of various state agencies and conservation organizations. It is coordinated and administered by the Pennsylvania Institute for Conservation Education, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
