The Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation's mission is to facilitate the revitalization of Wilkinsburg and surrounding areas through business and residential development, organizational and individual civic leadership, and cultural enrichment.

The WCDC provides resources to support our local businesses and to bring in new businesses. Objectives are to retain and create jobs, increase our tax base and convert unused space into productive property. The WCDC provides realtor support and marketing for-sale/for-rent properties to attract new business and supplies information on incentives, grants and loans, as well as additional business development resources. The WCDC focuses on creating a unified, vibrant business district by developing plans for physical improvements - facade restorations, beautification projects, historic preservation and planning & zoning recommendations. Current projects include providing technical assistance on facade improvements and storefront restorations, the creation of an acquisitions strategy for key vacant properties in the business corridor, securing funds for a Wilkinsburg Development Fund.
