Willcox Historic Theater Preservation

Willcox Historic Theater offers cinematic and performing arts programming year-round to a part of Cochise County that has limited opportunities.  It is the only venue within 40 miles that programs live and theater-only high definition programming in theater, music, dance.   It offers  workshops to students, giving them an opportunity to work with professional artists.

Restoration, repair and upgrading of the Theater has barely scratched the surface.  With an old building (opened in 1937),  repair and resotration never ends

Volunteers of all ages help operate, repair and refurbish the theater, having already installed new (to us) seats, repaired the roof, made the ticket booth operational, erected marquee signage and made basic repairs for safety.

Repair and refurbishment of the Historic Theater is an important component of revitalizing the Railroad Avenue Historic District for residents and visitors alike.

There are strong connections with many community organizations, schools and businesses to create and support community activities, festivals and events throughout the year..
