Williamsburg Choral Guild

Established in 1975, the Williamsburg Choral Guild is a mixed-voice all-volunteer chorus that presents three or more major concerts each season. The Guild enjoys the enthusiastic support of the community as it fulfills its mission to bring magnificent choral music to the Greater Williamsburg destination. The Guild’s Artistic Director is Dr. Daniel Parks.

The Guild is a resourceful and ambitious all-volunteer nonprofit organization. It is important for you to know that your dollars are used wisely and purposefully. All administrative staff is volunteer. We also strive to keep ticket prices low to keep our concerts accessible. To meet our expenses, we rely on ticket revenue, grants, corporate sponsorships, and the generosity of individual community members.

In addition to supporting arts within the community, the Guild provides opportunities for students. Singers who are enrolled as full or part-time students in degree-granting programs qualify for a reduced fee for annual dues. Students also are not required to pay for music. Additionally, financial assistance is available to all members.

The Guild also hosts the Young Artist Vocal Competition, supported by the Millie Andrews Young Artist Fund, which provides financial support for high school students and college-aged students who perform with the Guild or who are recommended to the Guild based on their musical talent. Not only will the winners be chosen to showcase their vocal skills during the Guild’s season-opening concert, they also each receive a cash prize.
