Williamston Schools Foundation

Established in 1981, the Williamston Schools Foundation was the first public schools foundation in the state of Michigan. Our mission is to enrich and enhance the quality of the educational experience of the children of Williamston Community Schools.

Since our inception, we have given over $1.6 million in grants to the Williamston Community Schools. This fall, the foundation funded over $20,000 in grant projects, sharing money equally amongst our schools.

Our organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who represent a cross section of educational interests within our community: teacher representatives, business and professional leaders, school administrators, senior citizens and parents.

The WSF is a strong partner to our schools - providing funding for the programs and innovations that have helped our schools be among the best in Michigan.  We believe that strong schools are the backbone of a strong and prosperous community.
