Willow Park Zoo Foundation Inc

Three years ago when the City of Logan was planning to close the zoo, concerned citizens stepped up and formed the non-profit that is now the zoo. With the charge to save the zoo from certain closure and to replace or repair aging exhibits, the board and employees got to work. And save the zoo they have. The zoo now houses a much more diverse set of animals and improvements to exhibits happen on a daily basis.

The education programs reach nearly 30,000 people every year. Children like Mia and Chatanya come weekly to storytime. Adults like RayAnn and Marilyse build conservation projects in a hands-on class. LuAnn and her grandsons get to touch a lizard on a trip to the zoo during an animal encounter. Scouts like Brig and Ethan update enclosures for animals and earn their eagle. Interns from USU and Common Ground and local high schools make a difference in the lives of our people and our animals. It goes on and on. Our born-blind yak, our flightless owls, and orphaned foxes are ambassadors who help instill positive change and caring in people. You only protect what you love and we want to be able to grow and better our facilities so that we can teach people the importance of our natural world. We strive to better the world one human at a time by teaching with one animal at a time.
