In Colorado, families face a heartbreaking truth: their child's inclusive education opportunities plummet from 90% to a mere 40% once they reach Kindergarten. This reality is especially challenging for families of children with disabilities, but the practice of segregating students based on their abilities also results in suboptimal outcomes for every child, including those without disabilities and who are gifted. 

In August 2023, Windmill's inaugural kindergarten class launched, introducing the founding group of world changers to Colorado’s first K-5 education program rooted in a learning growth model that enables gifted, typical learners, and learners with disabilities to thrive in the same classroom, 100% of the time. The 2023-2024 inaugural kindergarten class is already demonstrating that the model stands above the rest.

With each year, Windmill will launch and grow additional classrooms, creating a powerful ripple effect and providing needed opportunities for more families in the Denver area. Windmill is committed to removing financial barriers so that every family can access the program, but this promise relies on your support.
