Habitat for Humanity of Wiregrass

Home ownership is a key to helping families escape the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient.  Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity has helped 115 familes become home owners.  We help families and communities by giving them the opportunity to put faith into action and provide a permanent solution to the housing problem one family at at time.  Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity helps create a sense of empowerment and pride for family, neighbors and the community.  Through a no-interest mortgage and "sweat equity" hours, families are vested in the homes and their future as well as the future of their children.

We take pride in the familes we have helped since opening our doors in 1990.  We were very excited when our first homeowner paid off their mortgage early!  Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity strives to better our community by building wheelchair ramps, weatherization of homes and critical home repair.  We also paint homes through our A Brush with Kindness program.
