Women Determined

Our mission is to provide transitional housing, for up to one year at no cost, and every other necessity a woman needs to reenter society, this include connecting them to potential employers and teaching life skills. As a result, our ladies will be prepared to successfully transition to independence.

Women Determined is impacting the community and the ladies we serve by providing housing to women released from prison. This helps reduce the homeless population and decrease recidivism, while helping these ladies transition to an independent lifestyle.

My name is Yolanda Phoenix. I have been residing at Women Determined Transitional Housing since I was released from prison September 24, 2019 and I am still at Women Determined because I am a dialysis patient and I can't work at this time, yet I am still allowed to stay at Women Determined until affordable housing becomes available. I don't have to pay anything to reside here and all my needs are provided (clothes, personals, bras, panties, bath towels, detergent and everything else needed to start over). Anytime I run out of something it is replenished by Women Determined. The only thing I am required to do is save and save my money so I can prepare to transition to an independent life.
