Women Veterans Society

The Women Veterans Society aims to serve the women veteran community of San Angelo. Our purpose is to encourage and strengthen a network of women veterans by promoting unity and friendship among women veterans and our local community.

Texas has the largest population of women veterans in the United States at 190,366; who bravely sacrificed and put their lives on the line to defend our country. San Angelo is home to almost 5,000 Veterans, of which 10 percent are women. Every day we aim to recognize, appreciate, and honor the service of all women veterans who have shown courage, dedication, and skill while serving and defending the United States and its people.

Women Veterans Society is specifically focused on women veterans and needs, however we do and have offered assistance to ALL Veterans regardless of discharge status or time spent in service. As a newer non-profit we are looking to broaden our community reach with local women veteran focused events.
