Women's Center Inc DBA Safe Passage

"Amanda" was afraid for her life, and that of her children. After 15 years of an abusive marriage, finding a hidden file that  was out the ordinary that read "guns", Amanda fled to North Idaho Violence Prevention Center women's shelter. A protection order was put in place. Amanda and her children received shelter, counseling and legal advocacy at not cost. Recently Amanda reports to our court advocate "I cannot thank you enough, I think of you often as the beginning of my new life." 

We at North Idaho Violence Prevention Center are committed to end violence of all kinds in our community.  Through your help, victims become survivors transitioning to an open and empowered stance. Our no cost services include:

• 30 days shelter
• counseling
• court advocacy 
• hospital advocacy
• child advocacy center (forensic interviewing)
• pet sheltering
• school outreach and teen education

For anyone regardless of age, race, sex or LGBTQ who is in danger of domestic violence or sexual assault.

NIVPC's Child Advocacy Center has seen 48 child victims in its first year open.

Our Outreach, Education and Prevention programs served over 2500 students last year.
