Women's Empowerment International

Women's Empowerment International (WE) empowers women with tools to work their way out of poverty, care for their families, and strengthen their communities. WE funds microfinance programs, small business development support, training, education, and practical, holistic support centered around women’s economic empowerment to disrupt the cycle of poverty for women living in under-resourced communities.

The women WE supports are strong, adaptable, and persevering, but lack access to resources, education and training, and other crucial support. WE funding helps to break down those barriers, so they can create the future they envision for themselves and their families. 

Women in WE-funded programs: 

• Increase their average annual income
• Increase their participation in household decision-making
• Increase their financial literacy and confidence to perform financial tasks
• Run businesses that add to their household income or become the primary source of income
