Women's Giving Circle of the Kitsap Peninsula

The Women’s Giving Circle of the Kitsap Peninsula promotes philanthropy among women of all generations. Our grants support programs that uplift women and children in our community. We are a group of socially-minded women with a deep desire to help our community. We would love for you to join us! 

Any woman in the Kitsap peninsula who donates at least $1,000 annually to the Women’s Giving Circle Fund is a member. Split memberships and sponsored memberships are also available. By renewing your membership or donating to us during the Kitsap Great Give, you help us give more grants to local nonprofits supporting women and children.

What is a Giving Circle?

A giving circle is a way to maximize one’s philanthropic dollars. The Women’s Giving Circle of the Kitsap Peninsula is a way for the women in our area to support local women and children.

What does our Giving Circle do?

Our membership supports local nonprofits by voting annually on what is most important to the critical needs of women and children. Our members can participate in the grant process, gaining an insight into real needs in our own communities.

Why should I join?

You will meet a diverse group of concerned women. You will learn about community issues, effective philanthropy, and share in the joy of giving.

How are my member dollars used?

Membership dollars are pooled into a Women’s Giving Circle Fund managed by Kitsap Community Foundation. Our grant process then distributes these dollars between current grants and the endowment, which allows this fund to continue into the future.

Are there meetings?

The Women’s Giving Circle hosts four meetings a year. The Spring gathering focuses on voting for how grants will be distributed, and the Summer meeting showcases the past year’s grant recipients.
