Womens Wilderness Institute

The Women's Wilderness Institute is a nonprofit organization with the mission of strengthening the courage, confidence, and leadership qualities of girls and women, through the support and challenge of wilderness- and community-based experiences.

A world without empowered and confident girls and women is missing out on half the human resources available to it! Women's Wilderness uses activites to help girls, and women, gain confidence and skills through adventure, including setting appropriate boundaries, making self-affirming choices, and working through peer pressure.

We are deeply committed to creating opportunities for every girl/woman to discover her strengths and reach her full potential, which is why we are committed to never turning a girl away from our programs beacuse of financial need.

Every dollar counts - from helping supply the marshmallows that offers a tasty treat around a campfire, to the sleeping bags that provide a good night's sleep (possibly the first outside!), to helping girls see and reach their potential by providing a full scholarship.
