Whether your heart belongs to a secluded fishing hole, family farm/ranch land or a safe haven for wildlife, Wood River Land Trust protects and restores the natural areas in the Sun Valley region. Since 1994, we have preserved our community's stunning landscapes for people here now and future generations.

To date, WRLT has protected more than 25,000 acres, preserving the open vistas, land along our rivers, access to trails, and wildlife habitat that make the valley home. We own 15 preserves for the enjoyment of the community. We offer the Trout Friendly program, which guides community members in how to achieve the aesthetic they desire for their landscaping while conserving water and minimizing the use of pesticides. We have the Student Conservation Council – a team of high school students who engage their peers and our community in activities to restore and protect our valley’s precious natural resources.

We also collaborate with local non-profits. One example is the Big Wood Home Rivers Initiative with Trout Unlimited. This is a critical, large-scale river and watershed protection program. Together, we are creating solutions for issues affecting our local waters.

When you support the Land Trust, you are protecting the places where you make your memories. Join us today for Idaho Gives!
