The Worcester Animal Rescue League (“WARL”) is excited to be first time participants, joining shelters across the country in the Shelter Slumber Pawty 2024 fundraiser.

The mission of the Worcester Animal Rescue League is to give compassion to every being that turns to us for help, providing shelter and care for animals as well as respect and resources for people

Founded in 1912 by a group women determined to save overworked and abused farm horses, WARL continues this legacy of love for animals. As a private, non-profit organization that does not receive any county, state, or federal funding, WARL relies on the generosity of donors, corporate sponsors, and volunteers.

Programs and services include pet adoption, lost and found, boarding, low cost clinics, educational programs, foster and volunteer opportunities. Now the largest animal shelter in Central Massachusetts, WARL is a limited intake, no-kill animal shelter accepting pets only when enough kennel space is available; it does not believe in time or space limits for adoptable pets, and uses every resource available to place each one.
