Working Parents Foundation

We are a non-profit organization with a mission to promote workplace inclusion for parents in every profession. We accomplish this by providing essential supports and resources to employers and parents alike. 

The Working Parents Foundation was founded in 2020 by Majid and Kathleen Karimi after welcoming our firstborn, Mila. Our mission is to ease access to sustainable careers for working parents and to promote inclusion within the community workplace. Through our charitable endeavors, we aim to invest in our community and help alleviate the stress of balancing life as a professional and as a parent, a challenge that has become even more pronounced as a result of the pandemic. 

Kathleen is a co-founder of a behavioral healthcare agency, where she has instituted a number of progressive programs aimed at promoting inclusion for parents in the workplace. She is passionate about supporting organizations big and small in establishing low-cost, sustainable business practices that lead to optimal satisfaction and retention of working parents. 

Majid is a seasoned executive with 20-years of experience working in start-up environments. He has a passion for fostering and building diverse and inclusive teams and mentoring professionals to achieve satisfying, sustainable careers.  

We serve individuals and employers nationwide and have a special focus on serving our home community, Truckee-Tahoe!
