World Camp improves access to quality health services, education, and resources through community-driven initiatives in Malawi.

Programs

Camp Hope - A residential summer camp for Malawian youth living with HIV. Camp Hope is an intentional community designed with three core values: love, respect and safety. Camp provides campers the opportunity to simply be a child, free from stigma and secrecy. Educational sessions are strategically built into Camp to support campers in the challenges of self-care for the remainder of the year.

Camp Hope Follow-Up - World Camp supports some of the Camp Hope alumni throughout the year with intensive support. All Camp alumni from our partner area, the Malikha Zone, are brought together on a monthly basis to continue the psychosocial support campers receive at Camp. Further, World Camp makes home visits and works with alumni families offering support to guardians of campers, too.

MediServ - A surgical mission trip, World Camp partners with Operation Medical to organize American surgeons to travel to Malawi and provide desperately-needed surgeries. Malawi suffers a drastic shortage of surgeons and MediServ doctors help address the serious needs of Malawian patients while also offering trainings to Malawian doctors and nurses to ensure sustainable outcomes.

World Camp Clubs - After school clubs that bolster World Camp's community involvement. World Camp Clubs are an opportunity for youths at partner schools to become involved in addressing community challenges, gaining leadership skills, and gaining knowledge. World Camp Clubs empower youths to become change-agents in their communities and partner with World Camp in Community Improvement Projects.
