WFM-IGP is at the forefront of critical campaigns to protect populations from mass atrocities, promote gender equality, prevent armed conflict, support democratic institutions and advance international justice.
Our Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) program is the world’s largest civil society partnership advancing the cause of international justice. With your support, the Coalition works to ensure implementation of strong human rights and justice legislation in countries around the world. The ICC system remains a center-piece for effectively promoting the advancement of the rule of law in international affairs.
The International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) program is a diverse network of over 65 human rights organizations from every region of the globe that has been implementing innovative initiatives to prevent and halt genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
The International Democratic Governance (IDG) program is based on the understanding that a growing number of global challenges transcend national boundaries and cannot be solved by any government acting alone. Transnational governance structures – with their increasing responsibilities and powers – need better mechanisms for transparency and more accountable leadership.
In unique ways, WFM-IGP continues to help lead and contribute to major peace and human security initiatives. In the last 25 years the number of governments that actually want the UN and regional organisations to enforce peace has increased significantly. And the number of NGOs supporting the enforcement of international human rights and peace has grown by tens of thousands, in every region of the world. At this critical time, WFM-IGP will continue to support the development of enhanced structures for peace, helping move our world away from war and towards the rule of law and democratic governance at all levels.
WFM-IGP has proven success in advancing these issues, however, there is still so much work to be done in order to uphold our moral obligation to protect and provide hope and justice to civilians in communities still ravaged by conflict. We need your support to advance a more peaceful, just world for all.
