World Pediatrics

A nonprofit organization

Imagine if a child you love could not get life-saving care.

Across the globe, an estimated 1.7 billion children and adolescents lack access to basic and advanced surgical care. Each year, World Pediatric Project delivers lifesaving and life-changing care to thousands of children in low-resource countries, empowers hundreds of local healthcare workers with training across pediatric specialty disciplines, and transforms the capacity of local health systems to coordinate direct care and help communities thrive.

Your support allows our St. Louis medical professionals to help these children in their own countries and when needed, bring them to the US for care. In St. Louis, we work diligently with our partners at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Mercy Children's Hospital St. Louis, Shriner's Children's Hospital St. Louis, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis to change the lives of children in need.

Since 2004, our mission has been deeply personal. Inspired by her experiences in Haiti and her own son's life-saving treatment by the St. Louis medical community, Kate Corbett founded Healing the Children Missouri in St. Louis, the organization that has grown into World Pediatric Project. Kate's dedication continues to inspire us, serving as Executive Director and guiding our efforts to address the vast inequities in pediatric healthcare worldwide. Through our partnership with governments, hospitals, and agencies in the U.S., the Caribbean, and Latin America, we have developed a trusted reputation and a robust system for delivering complex medical care to the world’s most underserved children.
