The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) is the largest representative Evangelical body in the world today. The WEA was founded in 1846 for evangelical Christian leaders to build local alliances to transform their own nations and to work together. It’s three-fold mission is to serve as the globally trusted Evangelical voice, the dynamic center for training and resourcing for leaders, and as the connecting network of Christians for greater strategic impact. 

The WEA works at many levels, such as providing public square engagement workshops to pastors in Egypt, calling on Christians around the world to pray for the persecuted Church (International Day of Prayer), and engaging the United Nations and governments on religious liberty and protection for Christian minorities. There is no other organization like the WEA that is able to unite evangelical Christians together.
