PROGRAMMING IS CRUCIAL IN SUPPORTING THE WRESTLING COMMUNITY, WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON GIRLS AND WOMEN. 

Empowerment Camps. 

Our wrestling camps go beyond teaching wrestling techniques. We also focus on developing life skills such as confidence, teamwork, resilience, goal-setting, nutrition, and hydration. Our experienced female coaches not only teach wrestling techniques but also serve as mentors for future leaders. Empowering Girls Through Sports Leadership ProgramThe Empowering Girls Through Sports Leadership Program intends to provide girl wrestlers in grades 11 and 12 with the necessary leadership skills. The program furnishes leadership development training and guides the participants in creating a project that advances gender equality in their community. Empowering Women Through Sports Leadership ProgramThis is a leadership program that spans over five months and aims to empower women wrestlers from around the world to serve their local communities by increasing access to sports participation opportunities. Every year, 4 to 6 individuals who possess leadership skills and experience in the sports sector are selected from a list of nominees compiled by Embassies based in Washington, D.C., and wrestling governing bodies from across the globe. These delegates are typically between 25 and 40 years of age, proficient in English, and have excelled in the international wrestling arena. As part of the leadership program, each delegate gets the chanceignificant need or challenge facing girls, women, or underserved individuals in their home country. Delegates use sports as a way to create opportunities for disadvantaged populations and develop detailed action plans to address these challenges. The implementation of these plans in communities around the world is a testament to the positive impact of sports on social change. The development of these plans is the culmination of a transformative leadership experience.

WLAG supports policies for gender inclusion in wrestling, advocates for a healthier wrestling culture, and leads projects to reduce barriers and increase opportunities. Scholastic InitiativesLeading efforts to develop and include girls' and women's wrestling in scholastic programs.Collegiate InitiativesLeading the way in promoting and supporting women's wrestling programs at the college level.EducationWe engage in collaborative efforts with proficient wrestling coaches and experts in the field to establish best practices for female wrestlers. Our objective is to continuously enhance and refine these practices to cater to the specific needs of female wrestlers.
