As you know, needy families in our community go without proper food, clothing, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are at the highest risk and make up the largest number of clients we serve.

Since 2006, Reginald Jones and Wylam Community Services (WCS) has provided hot meals, clothing, toys, and now housing to well over 25,000 families. With the generous support of people like you, we are able to help many families not only meet essential daily needs, but also work toward a brighter future.

* Our Single Mother & Women Transitional Rooms is powerful program. Located in McCalla AL. We offer a safe clean and neat environment for Single Mom's that are trying to get back on their feet after experiencing life challenges. Since 2019 we have support 100 Single Mom's.

·  Our Community Center is open every week to allow the community a place to come and play. Our Center provides an indoor safe haven for children and young people of all economic backgrounds.

· Our Soup Kitchen helps provide hot meals for many families. We serve many homeless individuals and families a variety of hot meals.

· Our Food Pantry and Clothing Closet Program is one of the largest in Birmingham. Families travel from far and near for this support. As a United Way partner, we purchase food at a discounted rate. Our Clothing Closet provides shoes, clothes, and household items. This program provides these services free of charge to anyone who is in need.

· Our Child Development Center help assist low-income mothers by providing low cost childcare during school, work, and/or job hunting hours. By doing so, mothers can focus on their future while we care for their children.

· Our Toy Program provides free new toys to children each Christmas. This program assists families that may not have been able to provide their children with Christmas gifts. We have given to 10,000 kids since 2006.

' Our Men's Basketball League consist of 10 Teams. We have professional qualified referees. This program allows our Young and Season Men a place to exercise and compete against each other in a healthy way.

It is our goal to enrich the lives of families to build better communities. Your donation will help us continue to provide a safe place for indoor recreation, hot meals, food, clothing, household items, and childcare to needy families and individuals.
