The YMCA of the East Valley is an association of all ages, ethnic groups, and religious affiliations. Throughout our communities, countless people know the YMCA of the East Valley, but there is so much more to our Y than people may think.
The Y is so much more than a gym. It's a cause, dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. While we strive to keep values-based youth programs and fees affordable by subsidizing some of the real costs, we know that during difficult times some individuals and families will need financial assistance.
With programs from A to Z--like athletics to advocacy, dance classes to disease prevention, volleyball to volunteerism--we don't just strengthen individuals, we strengthen our community.
Yet, there is so much more to do.
We face new challenges that create a greater need for the work we do. Fortunately, where some see obstacles, we see opportunities for our members, volunteers, staff, and generous donors like you to make a difference. No other organization can impact as many people as powerfully as we do every day.
We believe in Youth Development. The values and skill learned early on are vital building blocks for life. Because of the Y, more young people are making smarter life choice. Children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
We believe in Healthy Living. Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It's about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities.
We believe in Social Responsibility. We know that when we work as one, we move people and communities forward. That's why we are committed to providing support to our neighbors and opportunities for kids, adults and families to give, join in or advocate in the name of stronger communities.
We're more than a Gym. We're a Cause.
