In Uganda, 1 in 3 girls will experience sexual violence in their lifetime. Without safe housing and access to school, girls living in extreme poverty are even more vulnerable. YOU ARE was created to stand in that gap.
What began as a simple dream to create safe spaces has grown into a community providing safe housing, education, healthcare, mentorship, and dignified work opportunities for girls and single mothers.
