about us. The goal of the YWCA is to break the cycle of domestic violence. We aspire to provide all services necessary for victims to put the pieces of their life back together. We work and advocate at the grassroots level to change the situations that lead to abuse and impact the laws that protect victims.

We are the comprehensive service provider for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with services including 24-hour hotlines, domestic violence safe house shelter, attorneys for peace and protective orders, counseling, support groups, abuser intervention programs, hospital accompaniment, youth programs, and community education. Most recently, the YWCA is preparing to provide a healing arts studio and transitional housing to both adults and children affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

The YWCA is pleased that we offer a continuum of care, from the time of the initial 911 call reporting an assault, through treatment, and ultimately being able to live independently – free from their abuser. These are significant goals and we cannot achieve them on our own.

The YWCA has a long history of working with a variety of partners to provide essential services to victims. With your help, we can ensure these services endure and expand.
