Supporting the success of women in our community is at the heart of EmBe’s mission. Partnering with Dress for Success Sioux Falls brings additional opportunities to support women in their journey to achieve financial independence and to help women thrive in work and life. The professional clothing, free programming, and ongoing support we provide women symbolize our faith in their ability to succeed. Within Dress for Success Sioux Falls we provide the following opportunities and programs:
Boutique Styling Program
Women work one-on-one with a trained styling coach, helping them select professional attire for upcoming interviews. Women are provided with a career outfit — and most importantly, positive reinforcement and confidence boost. Also, when she finds a job, she can come in for work attire for her employment setting. One-third of styling women require a specialty item like non-slip shoes, special sizes, or uniform pieces. In 2022, we anticipate needing to make purchases for over 100 women.
Professional Development Center
Our Professional Development Center provides women’s job readiness beyond styling to help raise their chance of success in a competitive job market. We promote confidence and professionalism by pairing our women with coaches who will work one-on-one with clients to establish goals and develop a personalized plan. We help women create superior resumes and cover letters, provide career counseling, assist with job applications and perform mock interviews.
Women to the Workforce
Women to the Workforce is a career development program designed to prepare women for employment. This program provides tools to help create a personal action plan, gain career skills, and utilize job search resources to build confidence.
Tapestry
Tapestry, a women’s career network, addresses the needs of those navigating the workplace but may not have a network to rely on to keep them engaged. Members can find support, practical information, and inspiration to achieve self-defined success in their careers and life.
Making Cents
Making Cents Financial Education Program focuses on women who want to take control of their finances and ease a financial burden by creating a small cohort that meets monthly. Sessions include local expert presenters that provide a personal perspective about what is possible and address each woman's specific financial concern.
