Young Life Shreveport

Young Life thinks the world of kids! We believe that they deserve to know what life can hold for them. Young Life leaders are caring adults who come sharing their faith as well as lasting friendships with kids. Young Life is also all about fun. From club and camp to campaigners, teenagers will have a blast laughing, trying new things, and being with their friends. We impact 6 area schools: Booker T. Washington, Caddo Magnet High School, Caddo Middle Magnet School, Captain Shreve High School, C.E. Byrd High School, and First Baptist Church School. We are also developing a Capernaum ministry for students with physical or cognitive disabilities. We impact hundreds of students all over the city on a weekly basis. Our mission is to introduce Jesus Christ to all students in our city and to walk alongside them as they grow in their faith. "Club" is a meeting with students from their school that is filled with games, skits, and music; and the story of who Jesus is and what He's done for their life is shared. "Campaigners" is another weekly meeting that is essentially Bible study, as volunteer leaders dive in with students to break down Scripture and help them live out their faith. We also take kids to the best week of their life at summer camp each year. Last summer, nearly 100 students & leaders went on 3 different trips and got to hear about a God who loves them desperately while having the best week ever.
