DiversityDHS is a 501c-3 organization supporting the LGBTQ+ residents of Desert Hot Springs and their allies aiming to cultivate, honor, endorse our rich, spirited community in a unifying theme of inclusion upholding the virtues of all residents, regardless of age, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation or gender identification. We strive to promote a positive fellowship within our diverse village by providing community services, resources, social interaction, cultural, educational recognition.

Our main goal is to produce the annual Desert Hot Springs Pride Festival inviting the general public free of charge from throughout the Coachella Valley and beyond. Attendees will be amazed at the scores of nonprofit and profit-based booths, full live entertainment tent, a dance tent, food tents/trucks, street entertainers, LGBTQ educational history banners, and so much more. Throughout the year, DiversityDHS members work diligently on supportive events to fundraise not only for the pride festival but also to fund our scholarship project to benefit both the LGBTQ and ally students at Desert Hot Springs High School before their graduation. To build community, we host monthly social events such as Sunday brunches with fellow community service organizations sharing their pride, T-Socials, and Drag Shows. Educationally, we host periodic town halls where our city leaders can dialogue with residents, and talk about current events facing the LGBTQ people locally and nationally. Ultimately, we have set a goal to open a resource center in our city for our residents to come seeking solutions for their everyday concerns.
