Youth Challenge

Mission

Youth Challenge brings together children with physical disabilities and youth volunteers who enrich each other's lives through one-on-one interaction in adapted sports and recreational activities.

Programs

Youth Challenge programs are tailored to fit the needs of the disabled participants. Sports such as swimming, sled hockey, snow skiing, and tennis are popular favorites. Arts and crafts, music, and dance are available. Larger scale programs include a canoeing excursion, boating regatta, sporting events, and a 5k race and 1-mile fun run. Participants gain self-esteem, independence, and new friends. Volunteers develop leadership skills and learn the value of community service.
