Youth Service, Inc. (YSI) is dedicated to strengthening the family unit, helping at-risk teens, and promoting child safety. For 70 years, YSI has upheld a tradition of excellence, dedicated to meeting the changing needs of youth and families in Philadelphia. Our mission is to offer accessible, quality services to at-risk youth and families. We provide comprehensive services that strengthen families, foster self-sufficiency, and develop the health and well-being of children and the family unit.

YSI services include an emergency shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, behavioral health services, life skills counseling, parenting workshops, job coaching, financial literacy services, respite childcare, and early childhood education programming. We utilize an inclusive, two-generational approach designed to address the needs of the entire family unit, helping them cope with past traumas and limit their children’s exposure to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
