YouthPlaces

YouthPlaces ensures that underserved, high-risk youth ages 12-18, are engaged in quality after school programs within their own neighborhoods that are shaped by the community and youth leaders in order to develop the skills of youth and increase their opportunity for success.

For over 24 years, YouthPlaces' network of after school programs in the Greater Pittsburgh area has engaged youth residing in underserved communities in a range of program activities. Through providing safe, accessible alternatives, YouthPlaces involves youth in positive opportunities in their communities. With a commitment to serving high-risk, underserved youth, YouthPlaces offers leadership development, academic enrichment, career awareness, mentoring and recreation at community sites. YouthPlaces is making a difference in the lives of thousands of teens and dozens of communities in the Pittsburgh region every year. With its large scale and positive impact, YouthPlaces gives communities the resources they need to support young people where the program is needed most through creating environments in which youth can feel safe and have fun after school. YouthPlaces provides young people the opportunities they need to become healthy adults, helping them envision possibilities and creating positive futures
