Second Step Housing

Second Step Housing was established in 1995 and is now the leading affordable housing provider for homeless households in Clark County. Over 70% of our residents come to us directly from homelessness.  Each night we provide housing for over 280 people, half of whom are children.  Our primary goal is to help people maintain stable housing.  We know that safe, stable housing can help to break the cycle of poverty and positively impact the lives of our residents for generations into the future. To this end we work with every household to find solutions to challenges they face. 

We pride ourselves on being small but mighty.  Second Step Housing has a staff of 3 full-time employees.  Our overhead costs are only a fraction of our annual budget.  Everything we do directly impacts the quality of our properties and our wish to maintain the highest possible safety and livability standards.  We use all our resources efficiently and effectively.  Most of our costs are operational and relate to keeping our rental units safe and affordable for residents.
